1. Technical Mechanics & Content Storage Notice
It is crucial for copyright holders to understand the operational architecture of ToolRanker when assessing copyright claims:
- No File Storage: ToolRanker does NOT host, archive, index, or maintain user-uploaded documents, images, or PDFs on its web servers. All tool transformations execute locally inside the user's browser sandbox.
- No Public Content Hosting: Files processed through our tools are never published, shared, or made publicly accessible to third parties on our site.
2. Filing a Formal DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that any graphic, text article, icon asset, or content displayed on ToolRanker infringes upon your copyright, you or your authorized legal representative may submit a formal written DMCA Takedown Request.
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice MUST include the following details:
- Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of Copyrighted Work: Clear identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of Infringing Material: Identification of the specific material or link claimed to be infringing (including exact URLs on ToolRanker).
- Contact Information: Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as your full legal name, physical address, telephone number, and official email address.
- Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
3. Counter-Notification Procedure
If material you submitted was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe this was done in error or misidentification, you may file a written Counter-Notification containing your contact details, signature, a statement under penalty of perjury of good faith belief, and consent to local jurisdiction.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, ToolRanker maintains a strict policy to block access or terminate relationships with users or administrators who are determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
